Billy Moore Days will take place in Historic Avondale October 18-21, with the return of the event’s favorite elements including the Billy Moore Days Parade and Carnival, and marks the 72nd anniversary of Avondale’s incorporation.

Festival activities are held along Western Avenue between 3rd Street & 6th Street.

Dr. Buck’s Wild West Show:
Take a trip back in time to gun fights, roping, horsemenship and good old fashioned fun! Dr. Buck’s Wild West Show will include The Wild West Comedy Gun Fight and Stunt show, The Wizard of the West Mysterioso Magic show, True West Tales with old west Historian Cowboy Lee Anderson. MORE DETAILS
The City of Avondale’s History on Display
During the weekend event, visit the lobby of the Sam Garcia Western Avenue Library to learn about the history of our city. A display will be up that will showcase a historic timeline, pinpointing key features in Avondale’s history, as well as feature the legend of Billy Moore, Avondale’s founder.
Western Games:
Free kids activities give a flavor for the old west with panning for gold, Bow & Arrow Bulls Eye Quest, Rubber Band Gun Shootout and Rodeo Calf Roping. We’ll even have a branding station where your kids can receive free western themed face painting!
Games and Contests
In honor of Avondale being named an All American City we have a variety of all American games and contests to participate in including sack races, yee-haw hollerin’ contests and more. Check back for more details and to sign up.
